Artist Statement
My paintings revolve around the relationship between painting and physical movement, and the abstract treatment of the real world has always been my way of creation, that is to say, in my creations I always transform my changing emotions and perception of identity into the expression of visual thinking. Painting is not only a way of self-interpretation, self-writing, and self-release, but also a way of facing my own spiritual world and the problem of women's identity and a mode of thinking, which carries my true feelings.
In my images, I combine my daily experiences and reflections of my female identity with leaf-like fragments of colour as my emotional mixture that drives my connection with painting. Lines, with a dancing rhythm in my creations, continue the vein of my thinking as always. In my approach, I work with color, space, line and texture to reflect my fluid and shifting emotions and identity as a woman. In my daily work, I often use different painting media, trying to use different materials and forms to present my new ideas and expand my creative practice. Driven by conceptualization and native intuition, the themes of my work often revolve around my own experiences, such as the subconscious mind, memory, physical liberation, spiritual freedom, emotional expression, and so on.
